Kelly Rowland - Head Over Heels for Peep Toe

March 09, 2010

The fabulous Kelly Rowland shopped at our Paddington store last Wednesday afternoon with Cathy Guetta, the wife of the world famous DJ and music producer David Guetta.

The five time Grammy award winner was in town for her special appearance at the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade. During her trip down under, Kelly decked herself out in Australian fashion. She had explained she had fallen head over heels with Australian designers and she even declared her love for Peep Toe's on national television.

Kelly, who has previously been part of one of the most successful groups of all time, Destiny's Child, is now heading down the solo path. She is best known for her hit singles "When love takes over" and "Work".

Miss Rowland shopped up a storm in our Paddington store, picking up some fab items to take back to the states. Kelly was down to earth, friendly and a pleasure for staff to deal with. No diva behaviour was seen at all!!!

Here are some of the items Kelly filled her shopping bag with...

Sweet dreams are made of these...

February 17, 2010

Have you ever had a recurring dream about a certain fashion item and wondered about its meaning?

Dreams are full of messages and meanings and sometimes we have to dig a little deeper to unveil and interpret these messages...

Below are some meanings about dreams related to common fashion items.

Shoes - When you have a dream involving shoes, it will most likely be to do with directions and paths to follow in life. The meaning of shoe dreams mostly involve a sense of adventure, travel and exploration.

The type of shoe the dreamer is wearing often holds the key to the dream's meaning. If the dream involves a comfy shoe, this can often represent familiarity, safety, a well grounded personality and positivity.

If you are wearing uncomfy shoes, this can often represent tough times, obstacles and difficulties that need to be overcome.

Handbags - A dream that involves a handbag often stands for responsibilities and burdens in ones life. Epecially if the bag is full and heavy.

If a handbag is lost in a dream, this can mean there is an obstacle in life which needs to be overcome. Finding a handbag in a dream can mean there are new opportunities just around the corner.

Rings - To dream about wearing a ring denotes new partnerships and companionships. It can also mean a deal or a promise has been made. Losing a ring can mean a fear of losing freedom or a strong personal relationship.

Here are a few items I have been dreaming about...

My Sweet Valentine

February 07, 2010

Ladies, feel free to leave the computer with this on the screen as a subtle hint to your Valentine...

Another perfect way to let your partner know what you would like this Valentine's Day is to create a wish list of the items you desire. This option is available on our website. The wish list can then be emailed to your loved one and all the hard work is taken out for him and you will be given exactly what you want.

It's that time of year again. Valentine's Day! For women, it's about gifts, chocolates and flowers and being pampered. For most males, it's the day they dread and leave gift hunting to the last minute and I mean literally to the last minute.

Men, if you are looking to buy a Valentine's gift that will earn you enough points to last the whole year, you have come to the right place.

Instead of scrambling around at the last minute trying to find some sort of gift on February 13th, why not get in early and purchase something special from our website. As we all know, you can't stand to be in a shopping centre for more than 5 minutes.

How easy is shopping online! You can pop online quickly at work or at home on the lounge while watching the cricket and your partner will never know!

To make it easier for you, I have spoken to a few of the guys here at Peep Toe HQ and they have offered a few hints on what to get your partner for this special day...

Here is what Tim who works in our warehouse thinks would be a great gift idea:

"I think the Miss Rose Bay Black Nappa and Pink Snake print shoes are nice. They are a stylish shape and they have just the right amount of colour. I think they would make a great gift as your partner has some lovely new footwear to wear on your Valentine's date and they are on sale so you have extra money to spend on her."

Angus also works in the warehouse, but he prefers Miss Zeppelin.

"My Valentine's shoe of choice is the Miss Zeppelin, because it's just a hot shoe and accentuates the legs with it's black, strappy, shiny elegance! It would make a great gift because all girls out there whether they know it or not, turn crazy eyed over shoes! And fella's, if your out to please, then the Miss Zeppelin is a safe bet!"

If you are still stuck as to what would be the perfect shoe for your beloved, try heading to the home page and have a go with our Valentine's quiz. Hopefully this will point you in the right direction.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
